Jonathan Weiss: Against all odds

The elements are always against you when you’re on top of a mountain. Jonathan Weiss, like many young snowboarders, started at an early age and is comfortable in the clouds as he is on the ground. This shoot is the story of a young man conquering it all.

"free to live out my passion"

Jonathan’s passion has recently become his job. As one of the youngest pro snowboarders he’s still got a long way to go in his career and the shots of him climbing this prestigious peak are just as meaningful as the photos of the way he came back down.

Quality not quantity

Sometimes it's about the quality... not quantity

When it comes to experiences, the quality of an experience can be more important than the quantity of experiences. While it may be tempting to try to fit in as many experiences as possible, it's often the quality of the experience that truly makes it worthwhile and memorable.

A quality experience is one that is meaningful and fulfilling. It provides an opportunity to truly connect with the people or environment around you, to learn something new, or to gain a sense of personal growth or accomplishment. These experiences often stay with you for a lifetime and can shape who you are as a person.

On the other hand, quantity experiences may feel rushed, superficial, or forgettable. Trying to cram too many experiences into a short amount of time can be exhausting and may not allow for enough time to truly appreciate or engage with each experience.

Quality experiences often require more time and effort to plan and execute. It's important to choose experiences that align with your interests and goals and to take the time to fully immerse yourself in the experience. This may mean taking a longer trip, dedicating more time to a hobby or activity, or investing in a higher-quality product or service.

While quantity experiences may be more convenient or easily accessible, they may not offer the same level of depth or satisfaction as a quality experience. For example, a quick weekend trip to a nearby city may provide some entertainment, but it may not offer the same level of cultural immersion or personal growth as a longer, more immersive travel experience.

Lastly, quality experiences often offer more long-term benefits than quantity experiences. They can provide opportunities for personal growth, learning, and self-discovery, and may even lead to new connections or opportunities. In contrast, quantity experiences may offer only temporary entertainment or distraction.

In conclusion, while it may be tempting to prioritize quantity when it comes to experiences, it's often the quality of the experience that truly matters. Investing time and effort into planning and experiencing a quality experience can offer greater fulfillment, personal growth, and long-term benefits than simply trying to fit in as many experiences as possible.
